All it requires is a few small changes to your eating habits. Try these and watch the fat melt away in just a few weeks!
- Skip the salad dressing: The health benefits of eating salads are mostly undone when you pile on the salad dressing. Switching to low-fat and low-sugar salad dressing is a good step, but the best thing you can do is to skip the salad dressing entirely and avoid all those empty calories. This can easily save you 300 to 500 calories per salad.
- Drink skim milk: Milk is incredibly beneficial to drink, especially for women, but it's also full of calories. Whole milk has almost twice the calories of skim milk, so switch to skim milk to save on the calories without giving up the nutritional benefits.
- Eat open-faced sandwiches: In other words, take the top off your sandwich or sub and throw it away. You'll eat half as much bread as you normally do, without really tasting any difference.
- Eat more slowly: The faster you eat, the more you eat -- research has proved this time and time again. If you eat slower, you'll feel full more quickly and you'll eat less as a result.
- Skip the sugary drinks: Many drinks have nothing but empty calories. Even fruit juices fall into this category -- natural sugar is still sugar, after all! The less sugar you drink, the less weight you'll gain. Don't skip liquids entirely, though, otherwise you'll be dehydrated. Drink lots of water instead. (A few ice cubes will make for a very refreshing drink.)
You can lose up to 10 pounds using these simple steps, but anything beyond that will require more effort and a proper diet plan. But which plan to choose?
