1.) Check Out Virgin Coconut Oil

The manufacture is correct. It is a terrific substitute for certain oil products for baking and some fried foods. But, did you know that there is another use for Coconut Oil? It is wonderful on dry skin. I am brown skinned and spend a great deal of time out doors and in water. I have developed very dry/ashy skin. I have sent this product to to at least 8 others who have the same complaint and we all agree we no longer have this problem. Because it is not a cosmetic there is no overt Coconut smell (after smell). When first applied there is a soft oil sheen that after absorption disappears leaving a natural skin tone. No more embarrassingly ashy parts. Who would have thought?

2.) Great for Skin and Hair

I use this as a hair and scalp oil. It leaves my hair soft and shiny. There's no greasy or residue buildup. It absorbs right into the hair and scalp, If you apply to your hair, wait few minutes and then run your fingers through your hair, there will be no residue on your fingers--none. Your hair will feel soft, supple, and look shiny. A previous reviewer said she uses it on her skin. I do too. I usually put in on my face before bed. Just like she said, it absorbs right into your skin and there is no residue.

I started using it because my mom has uses it. But, I never knew much about it. I did an online search to find out more about this oil. According to the information I got, with regular use, Coconut oil can help reverse sun damage and reduce signs of aging on your face and neck. The article also said it helps eliminate "liver spots" The reason given was that coconut oil breaks down so fast that it really does absorb into the layers of your skin, instead of just sitting on the surface like so many face creams and lotions do. It is good for the skin. I'm 50, and my skin is holding up pretty well. I have very few "liver" spots near my ears, but absolutely none on my forehead and cheeks. A lot of people have a whole face full of them by the time they are my age. It is a healthy oil to consume. It is solid, but it breaks down so easily in the body that the liver(the real organ) doesn't have to even get involved in the breaking down process, like it does with most fats we consume. It's a shame, I always thought this was one of the worst oils you could eat. Turns out, it's one of the best oils to consume. If you do an online search, you can find a lot of information about the many benefits of coconut oil by an MD. You can even find out how it got it's bad reputation,

3.) Delicious

I add this to my oatmeal, along with walnuts and berries, the taste is wonderful and apparently coconut oil is healthy for you. But how can it be? The taste is so good, it's like a treat!

4.) EXCELLENT taste and benefits!

I did a lot of research on this product online. I received it and it is fabulous. I really like that it melts after a certain temperature and turns solid below that temperature. I put this in my smoothies (berries, cherry protein mix, etc.) and this stuff is fabulous. I even cut up a banana and put it on the banana just like peanut butter. Reminds me of being in Hawaii!

5.) Good inside and out

Initially I got this to help with my poor dry cracked feet. I realize the reason they are dry is a water issue but oils can help to retain natural moisture but I've heard coconut oil can be very good for the skin so I'm willing to give it a shot. However when I recieved this the smell was so good I had to at least try a little bit, especially since my dog thinks it's food. (she was all excited when I opened it, thought she was going to get a treat) so I brushed some fresh pineapple slices with a bit and put them on the grill. Absolutely wonderful. It has that slight nutty essence of the coconut without being sweet. The aroma is very light and appealing. My only dilemma now is do I use this for my skin or for cooking! I think I'm going to have to order another jar, I'd love to try this in some cookies or something. This is the first coconut oil i've bought so it's not a comparative opinion, but to me this is really good. I do however really love coconut so it could be a biased opinion.

Edit for an update: This does work wonders for my dry skin and poor cracked heals. I noticed a difference in one week, and 2 months later they are mostly healed. I have lymphedema of the lower leg on one side, so I have a lot of skin issues. Coconut oil has REALLY helped soften the scaly patches I get!

6.) Highly recommend

Excellent coconut flavor- the aroma reminds me of a tropical island- I use it in my morning coffee and on my morning toast to help promote weight loss- and yes it really does work to stop food cravings-

It is also an excellent skin moisturizer(but a word of caution if you have a pet- it may cause them to cover you with more "kisses" than usual, but don't let them fool you- I think they are secretly trying to get a taste of the coconut)

7.) I love it and my cat adores it!
Reviewed by: Nellian Marysville, CA

I purchased this brand of coconut oil over others on amazon simply becasue it came packaged in a glass jar. The reviews were good and it seems to have lived up to them for me. I have had it about a month now and I still love it. It has a delicate smell of fresh coconut yet its not overpowering. The taste is also a mild coconut flavor but it defiantly won't overpower your food. I love to use this as an all over body moisturizer after the shower. It leaves me smelling of coconut but not like those tropical coconut tanning oils or anything so overpowering. My cat also adores this stuff! when I'm rubbing it on my arms and legs he licks it off so I have to give him a little to make him stop. He will also come running to me if I open the jar so he can get a little bit for a treat. Coconut oil will help give your kitty a shiny coat and can also help with fur balls. This stuff has a ton of benefits...and did I mention how yummy it smells? =D

This stuff is amazing. I never left a review on anything I bought from Amazon before, but this one I couldn't resist!! I have tried 3 different coconut oils and this one by far is the best for eating straight out of the jar!! It has such a wonderful coconut taste and smell!! I have been using it for everything!! I started using it on my "age spots" for 2 weeks now and they are 3/4 of the way gone!! Needless to say I am thankful I didn't try a chemical peal!! I am rubbing it on the spots on my face about 3 or 4 times a day and defiantly at night before i go to bed!! It feels so amazing that I end up using it everywhere, and It doesn't feel greasy under my cloths. When I eat the oil from the jar (a few times a day) i feel less hungry and have more energy!! My nails have less ridges and my hair is smother!! Okay how to I write this reveiw and not sound like one of those infomercials?!

10.) For Africian American Hair use

I have VERY DRY, brittle, coarse Africian American hair. I have been looking for something OTHER than the products on the market, which do not work with my hair. I stumbled-again on the benefits of Coconut oil for hair and skin. I did a lot of research on the oil and found that the extra virgin oil is the best. This one had some of the best reviews on Amazon and in the black hair care sections of books and the internet. So, I purchased it. It really does work with my hair. I use a teaspoon melted with a bit of Olive Oil and Lavender oil. After shampoo, hair should be damp not wet. Then leave for 1 hour-wrap hair in warm towels. Or, leave it in over night (wrap hair in plastic shower cap, cover pillows with a bath towel)-then rinse in the morning-do not shampoo again. I have found it works better than any of the non-frizz products and my hair has taken on a whole new life and as it is not breaking off (split ends get trimed also), growing and even a bit shiny.
I have just started to use it in my diet, so I can't tell yet if the benefits of this oil are working. But my hair loves it.

12.) Excellent Product!

This is an excellent product, although it hasn't helped me lose weight yet, but I ran out of it before maximizing all its benefits. The main uses have been for our dog (added a couple tablespoons to her food to help her skin), our dry skin, and even "intimate" moments (it's better than anything else we have tried). Since coconut oil is a natural ingredient, hypoallergenic and antibacterial, it's perfect for inside and outside of our bodies (except perhaps, for eyes and ears). My husband has eczema and it's been one of the most helpful products we have found.

13.) Great for cleaning face, bursitis, joint pain

Amazon's delivery is super fast. This stuff is wonderful and smell like the real coconut! Reminds me of the tropics. I ordered 4 jars of this EVCO and gave some to my mom to try. She loves it.

I have been using EVCO for about a month now and I am very HAPPY with it. I take about 1 TBLSP/day internally; put in my coffee, spread it on my toast. No only is my enery level up, the pain from my shoulder bursitis is gone. Since I have been taking EVCO, I haven't have to take my medication for my bursitis and joint pain.

This is also great to clean my face with at night followed by warm damp cloth. It makes my skin so soft. I have combination skin and have always been afraid to put anything heavy and oily on my face due to acne breakouts. I even give some to my dogs and cats and their hair is shiny and soft. This stuff works great!

14.) Great for Frizzy Curly Hair

I wash my hair with baking soda water, rinse with vinegar water and add coconut oil. My hair has never looked so healthy and nice. I have below shoulder length hair and it use to look dry & frizzy. Not any more. I stopped using store bought shampoos, conditioner and styling products. Coconut oil is also good as a massage oil and I have made a homemade deodorant with it too!

I can tell the diffrence my hair is not dry after moisturizing my hair when I seal with this. I seen how this worked to seal my moisture in my hair so I decided to use this as a deep conditioner! OMG I will never use anything ealse for a deep conditioner this made my hair so soft moisturized ect.... i have purchased just about every coconut oil brand out there and find garden of life to be the best. other less expensive brands often leave an odd aftertaste or chemical residue even if they claim to be organic. i find this product to be consistently clean tasting. have been taking daily for over a year and have noticed improvement in skin, energy, immune system, and clarity of thought/memory. after initially feeling resistant to the idea of eating fat, i can't imagine life without this product. no weight gain at up to 3 tablespoons a day. don't let the medical establishment's misunderstanding about saturated fats scare you into not using this product. i have only benefited from it after years of low fat eating that was slowly destroying my health. but do start slowly, its not uncommon to feel a little nauseous( apparently as a result of being unused to digesting fats) or to have looser bowels initially( it has been used as a laxative).......

Features of 100% Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 16 fl.oz

-Contains meat from only the freshest, organically grown coconuts
-Produced using the same methods Philippine farmers have used for centuries
-Helps maintain already healthy levels of cholesterol and thermogenesis
-Great for low carbohydrate diets
-Can be used in place of butter. Enjoy in cooking, frying, baking or in smoothies
-100% vegetarian, non-GMO, not hydrogenated, refined, bleached or deodorized

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is among the healthiest, most versatile dietary oils in the world. An excellent cooking oil with its natural coconut flavor and aroma, we think it is simply the best tasting, most aromatic coconut oil on the planet.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is a stable, healthy saturated fat that is naturally free from trans-fatty acids. It contains medium-chain fatty acids, such as lauric acid, which have a shorter chain length than most animal derived long-chain saturated fatty acids. Newer research supports the theory that saturated fats rich in medium-chain fatty acids, like those found in extra virgin coconut oil, are beneficial. In fact, consumption of coconut oil at recommended levels, along with a healthy diet and lifestyle, helps maintain already healthy levels of cholesterol.

Unlike refined coconut oils, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is not hydrogenated, bleached, refined or deodorized. It is produced using the same methods farmers have used for centuries. Meat from only the freshest, organically grown coconuts is shredded and cold-pressed to create coconut milk, and then fermented to achieve a great taste and aroma.
