I grew up with gallon tins of imported Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). We used the Olive Oil for EVERYTHING ... cooking, hair conditioner, ear aches, in salt scrubs for smooth skin and oiling scissors. Now that EVERYONE uses olive oil it's gotten expensive. I wait for Manager Sales on sizes I know I can use up without it going rancid, couple that with the Free Super Saver Shipping and it's a deal at 12 bucks or so. This PURE OLIVE OIL is better for frying than Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

It's great for dipping foccacia or crusty artisan breads, pasta, salads, and sauteeing veggies. Simply drizzled on warm pasta, tossed with Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked pepper is yummy. Of course, this EVOO will be savored for cooking/dining ONLY.

Do yourself a favor, DO NOT use your EVOO for frying...it burns easily and KILLS the original olive flavor, leaving a lingering burnt olive flavor ...it's a waste (just saying).
I consider EVOO a great beginning to a healthy Mediterranean Diet, good health, good flavor, long life. Besides this is cheaper and tasy way to get your Vitamin E, a good fat!
